Joshua Brown – our pastor since 2015, Josh previously served Friends meetings in Indiana and New York. Josh has published 5 books and numerous articles. He has been an adjunct faculty member at Earlham School of Religion, given dozens of workshops, and served on local and international mission boards. In his spare time Josh plays traditional folk music, gospel hymns and enjoys wood turning.
Tanna Shipwash – our youth minister, grew up at Springfield and is a student at North Carolina A&T State University.
Millie Simmons – our longtime administrative assistant, Millie is the nerve center of the meeting. She runs the office, stays in touch with everyone, schedules and organizes events. Millie is everyone’s friend!
Anna Wu – our accompanist, Anna is a graduate of Nanjing Normal University in China and has been studying for her master’s degree at UNCG since 2017, majoring in piano performance.
Sandra Culler – our meeting treasurer, Sandra supports all of our many activities and helps them run smoothly. A great detail person and organizer, Sandra helps with many special events and is clerk of the Family Life committee.
Eugene Shipwash – our part-time custodian, Gene keeps our building spic and span for the many events which happen at Springfield. His quiet, friendly competence helps everyone else work better!
Ken Hill – the clerk of our meeting, presides at our monthly business meeting and is in touch with all of the other leaders.
Paulo Barata – the clerk of our Ministry and Counsel committee, which oversees worship, pastoral care and visitation, deals with membership applications and weddings, and anything which affects the spiritual life of the meeting
Mark Stroud – the clerk of our Finance committee, which oversees the budget, cash flow, investments and all financial matters
Marcy Shipwash – the clerk of our Christian Education committee, which oversees the Sunday School, youth programs and many special holiday events. She also directs the Springfield Players drama group.
Steven Shipwash – the clerk of our House and Grounds committee, which oversees all of the maintenance, looks after repairs, and organizes volunteers for our monthly work days
